Dolphin
Gîtes is a beautiful child friendly gites complex located in the Vendée region
of France. The complex is ideally situated in the coastal village of La
Chaize-Giraud, only 5 minutes from the attractive seaside town of Brétignolles-sur-Mer.
The accommodation comprises of six individual character cottages located in the
same grounds all with direct access to a beautiful heated in-ground swimming
pool. You can choose from six self-catering gites (cottages) all of a different
character catering for different requirements. Our largest gîte (country
cottage) can accommodate up to 8 people and is ideal for a large family or two
families sharing. The grounds include the ancient walled garden built by
the Monks, landscaped lawns and borders, an orchard and a heated swimming pool
with views on the valley - all situated in the shadow of a beautiful 12th
century church. Our gite complex is family friendly and it is very likely that
you children with have other children to play with during your stay.

Holiday Gites in Vendée
Each area of the Vendee has its own rural character and charm. Gites come in very different styles and character, from old converted barns, sea view apartments, to very modern bungalows with all mod cons. There are small rural cottages hidden away in the countryside miles from anywhere, modern purpose built houses on estates, small apartments and gîte complexes. Today, gites in France and especially in the Vendée, are generally well equipped providing accommodation of a good standard, although standards do vary. In the past, gites were of a very basic standard, almost rudimentary with the most basic facilities. Today, the vast majority of gites represent good quality accommodation and very good value for money. In the case of the gite complex which often comprises of 3 or 4 cottages located in close proximity, there is likely to be a shared swimming pool and children's play area.
